Mumbai: IDFC FIRST Bank announced today Meritorious Scholarships For Data Science And Analytics Students at Mumbai’s premier institution, the NMIMS School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics, and Analytics (SOMASA). The award is available to first-year students studying data science and analytics at SVKM’s NMIMS (SOMASA).
The grant will pay the first year’s tuition for students enrolled in their respective programmes. Additionally, the grantees will have the option to intern with IDFC FIRST Bank. They will receive a stipend and, depending on their performance during the internship, may be offered a pre-placement position with the Bank’s Data Science & Analytics division. The internship will last two months and will have the option of being extended for an additional four months.

We recently restructured our school and departments, resulting in the establishment of the School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics, and Analytics. The new school will be led by Dr. Sushil Kulkarni, who joined us as Dean recently, and we are confident that he will take the school to new heights.”
The IDFC FIRST Bank Meritorious Student Scholarship will be awarded to students based on their first semester examination results, followed by personal interviews. Academic excellence and the Bank’s internal appraisal will be accorded equal weight in the selection process.
