CUCET is a test administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at numerous federally supported universities. CUCET dates are likely to be released soon by the NTA.

Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a test administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Until last year, the CUCET was used to select students for 13 newly established central institutions.

CUCET has officially been recognised by the University of Delhi (DU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for admissions to the forthcoming academic year. For CUCET, DU had constituted an eight-member committee. Until last year, most undergraduate courses were admitted on the basis of cut-off marks, while postgraduate courses were admitted via entrance exams.

CUCET will also be used for admission to several undergraduate degrees at JNU. According to a JNU announcement, the implementation of CUCET for course admission will create a “fair playing field” for students across the country and reduce the burden of administering several entrance exams.
